I Paid Changan Auto Islamabad in Full for a Deepal S05. Three Months Later, I Still Do Not Have the Car.

What I was told, and when

August was never promised. The delivery I was given verbally was the first week of September. On paper, it was September.

September ended without the car.

Until the end of September, the script was that I would get my car very soon, and that this was only a little delay. Since October, that script has changed. Now they tell me I have to wait.

It is a new date every day I call them or contact them. I am writing this in mid-October. I still have no delivery date I can trust, and no clear answer on where the car actually is.

The dealership is Changan Auto Islamabad

My booking is with Changan Auto Islamabad. That is the dealership that took the full payment and has been the point of contact while I wait.

When I ask them where the car is, the answer depends on the month. Until the end of September, Changan Auto Islamabad and the Changan helpline told me I would get the car very soon, and that it was only a little delay. Since October, they tell me I have to wait. And it is a new date every day I call or contact them. Sometimes the explanation is a sourcing issue. Sometimes it is a road closure. The car does not arrive.

A delay can happen. A company can miss a date. What should not happen is full payment since the end of July, a September date that was missed, and a fresh date every time I get in touch. That is why I found Changan Pakistan and this dealership unprofessional.

They are not giving anything on the money

The full amount left my side at the end of July. Since then, Changan Auto Islamabad has held that money and has not given me anything on it. No profit. No compensation for the months it has sat there while the car that was on paper for September is still not in my hands.

Once you have paid in full, you are no longer negotiating. You are waiting on a company that already has what it needed from you. In my case, that wait has run from the end of July, through the September date on paper, and into the middle of October, with nothing coming back on the money in the meantime.

If you are about to pay

I would not buy from this company again.

If you are about to, slow down before you pay Changan Auto Islamabad, or any other Changan dealership, in full. Ask, in writing, what happens if the September date slips. Ask what you are owed if that month becomes October with no car and no location. Ask whether anything is paid on your money while you wait. A verbal first week of September did not hold, the date on paper did not hold, and nothing has been given on the amount I already paid.

Look at other companies before you send the full payment. I was told the first week of September, and September on paper. It is the middle of October. Every time I contact them, there is a new date. I still do not know where the car is.
